Terms & Conditions

Last updated October 6, 2026

The short version

  • Raklane runs your apps and databases. You pay in advance from a wallet and can stop any time.
  • Charges are per hour (or per period for dedicated plans) and taken from your wallet. If your balance runs out, your apps pause.
  • Top-ups aren't refundable, except in the cases in our Refund Policy.
  • Don't use Raklane for anything illegal or harmful (spam, malware, crypto mining, attacks).
  • Your code and data stay yours. Keep your own backups of anything important.
  • We do our best to keep things running, but we can't promise 100% uptime.

The full terms below are what count. Please read them.

1. Agreeing to these terms

These terms apply when you use Raklane, our platform for deploying and running web apps and databases (the "Service"), at raklane.com and dashboard.raklane.com. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use Raklane.

"Raklane", "we" and "us" mean the operator of the Raklane service.

2. Who can use Raklane

  • You need to be at least 13 years old.
  • If you're under 18, you need permission from a parent or guardian, and they agree to these terms with you. They're also responsible for any money paid into your wallet.
  • One free trial per person. Making extra accounts to get more trials or free credit isn't allowed.

3. Your account

  • Use a real email address and keep your password to yourself.
  • You're responsible for what happens under your account, including what people you invite to your organization do.
  • If you think someone else got into your account, email us at support@raklane.com straight away.

4. What Raklane does

  • Raklane builds your code, runs it, gives it a web address, and can run databases for you. Apps can run on our servers or on your own servers through the Raklane agent ("Bring Your Own Compute", or BYOC).
  • We may add, change or remove features. If we remove a paid feature you use, we'll tell you in advance where we can.
  • We provide Raklane "as is". We work hard to keep it running but don't guarantee any specific uptime.

5. Paying for Raklane

  • Prepaid wallet. You add balance first, then charges come out of it. Prices are on our pricing page and in your dashboard.
  • Topping up. Today you top up by bank transfer: send the money, upload your receipt in the dashboard, and we credit your wallet after checking it. If we add other payment methods, they'll show up in your dashboard, along with any fee before you pay.
  • Balance doesn't expire. Balance you paid for stays until you use it. Free credit from trials or vouchers has no cash value, can only be spent on Raklane, and any unused part disappears when it expires.
  • Pay-as-you-go apps are charged in advance for each hour they run, based on the resources you choose. Once an hour starts, it's charged in full, even if you stop or scale down during it. If your balance can't cover the next hour, the app is paused. It won't restart by itself; top up and resume it.
  • Dedicated plans (apps and databases) are paid in advance for an hourly or monthly period.
    • Hourly database plans renew automatically from your wallet each hour while you have enough balance.
    • Other plans don't renew automatically; we email you 3 days and 1 day before the end.
    • If a plan isn't renewed:
      • apps on the plan are paused;
      • databases are stopped. We keep your data, or a backup of it, for a limited time so you can renew; the exact deletion date is shown in your dashboard and in the email we send you. After that date it's deleted for good;
      • for databases used for less than a day, we keep a backup rather than the database itself. Renewing in time brings your data back from that backup.
  • Your own servers (BYOC) have a management fee charged hourly. If your balance can't cover it, the amount is carried over. After 72 hours unpaid, you can't deploy anything new to your servers until you pay. We never stop what's already running there.
  • Price changes only apply from the date they start, never to time you've already paid for.

6. Things you can't do

Don't use Raklane to:

  • break the law;
  • host or send malware, phishing pages or spam. Outgoing email on port 25 is blocked on our servers;
  • mine cryptocurrency;
  • attack, scan or overload other systems, such as denial-of-service attacks or password guessing;
  • host content that's illegal, copies someone else's work without permission, or harms children;
  • cheat limits or billing, for example with many accounts or someone else's payment details;
  • disrupt Raklane or other people's apps.

If you do, we may pause or remove your apps, block deploys, or suspend your account. If it's urgent, we may do this without warning. When we can, we'll tell you why.

7. Your code and data

  • What you deploy stays yours. You only let us store, build, run and back it up so the Service works.
  • You're responsible for what you deploy, and for having the right to use it, including other people's code.
  • Keep your own copy of anything important. We back up the databases we host every day and keep the last 7, but backups are a safety net, not a promise.
  • We don't look at your apps or data unless we need to: to run the Service, to fix a problem you reported, to check a breach of these terms, or because the law requires it.

8. Your own servers (BYOC)

If you connect your own servers, you're responsible for those servers: their security, their costs and the data on them. Raklane only manages what you deploy through it.

9. Leaving Raklane

  • You can stop any time: pause or delete your apps and databases. To close your account, email support@raklane.com from your account's email address.
  • Balance left when you close your account isn't refunded, except as described in the Refund Policy.
  • We may close accounts that seriously or repeatedly break these terms. If we ever shut down Raklane completely, we'll give at least 30 days' notice.

10. Limits on our responsibility

  • As far as the law allows, we aren't responsible for indirect losses such as lost profits, lost data or lost business.
  • If something goes wrong and we are responsible, the most we'll pay is what you paid us in the 3 months before it happened.
  • Nothing here limits anything the law says can't be limited.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We'll post the new version here with a new date, and tell you by email or in the dashboard about big changes. If you keep using Raklane after a change, you accept the new terms.

12. Disagreements

These terms are governed by the laws of the place where Raklane is operated. If we disagree about something, please contact us first; we'll try to sort it out fairly. If we can't, it will be settled under those laws.
